This is our 2nd Christmas together, which means slowly starting our own traditions and sharing old ones. Christmas Eve, we both opened up a new pair of p.js and snuggled up on the couch while watching The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (cartoon version) which I do every Christmas Eve. Followed by Santa Claus is Coming to Town, which is his holiday tradition. Then we shared stories of our past Christmas's, when we were little. It made the night so special sharing old memories with each other and laughing about our childhood.
When Christmas morning arrived, we both enjoyed Guitar Hero's gift from me by, putting in some old Elvis Christmas albums we had been collecting (that's right, we finally got a record player) He was so thrilled when he opened up the gift. It's something we both have been wanting for a long time. And it was so exciting to be able to give him something that meant so much to him. He instantly felt like a kid again, putting old records on in his parents house, and dreaming that one day he could play like the guys on the albums (mainly, The Beatles). I love seeing him light up, it was one of the best part's of my Christmas, well that and all my babies (pets) playing in the wrapping paper/decor!
