...and then there was dessert

Fajita night!

Family time in our house seems to be dinner time when mom makes a yummy home cooked dinner (which I have missed so very much) and when dad gets home for work. Everyone joins the table and fixes a plate, where the conversations begin from everything to movies, food, dreams, life, and of course the dogs (since they demand the attention at dinner time)! I have forgot how much I love sitting at a table and talking to the ones I love the most over a delicious meal. I am to make it my goal now to have family dinners every night if I have a family!

And we are here...

After two days of preparing with my mom, two cars filled with my things, two cats, a dog, and a 5 hour drive, we finally made to my parents house in GA.

We (me and my pets) have been here two nights and it's weird knowing, I won't be in Nashville for over a month but at least Guitar Hero will be coming to GA for a few gigs, so hopefully this way I can see him a couple of times. It is refreshing though, always having someone to talk to in person, sitting down for real meals with others at the table, and just having a house full of entertainment. I am excited to see what this month brings...

Elijah!

Exciting news going on over here! My sissy is heading to the hospital as I type this in hopes of my second little nephew being born today! Little Elijah (that's his name) must be in a hurry to meet the world, being that he is not due till the 2nd week of Aug but we are all more then anxious to meet him too! Please keep my sister in your prayers for a healthy and easy delivery!

My two heros!

Ok, ok.. I know I am like way behind on post! I just don't know where my time goes anymore. So much is happening in such a short amount of time it feels like. Guitar Hero has been on the road non stop and only coming home for short periods at a time so I have been savoring my moments with him. And as of next week, I will be taking a month long vacation to GA to visit my family!!! I am so excited and they will make this tour season go by much faster by not having to spend it by myself.

There will be lots of post coming up, I am sure of it!

I can't wait to get on the road but I am going to miss my Nashville like crazy! Even if I will only be gone for a month. Wish me luck on traveling with all the pets... haha this should be interesting!!!!

And as for the picture above, it is my two favorite heros. My dad and Guitar Hero. I loved watching them bond together over house work last week when my dad visited. It was a special moment. Could not be happier that my two favorite men get along so well.

Red, White, and Blue!

One great thing about holidays, is getting creative with your food. Which is exactly what me and my friend Megan did. We took white cake batter and separated into 3 bowls, dying two of them red and blue. Then by filling each cake with all 3 colors we created the perfect red, white, and blue cupcake. So, when you bite into it you got an awesome little surprise.

However, we had to make sure they had red, white, and blue colors on top too. So, white a little white icing, blue icing, and raspberries we made the quite the 4th of july topping.

And they were yummy too!!!!!

Sparklers!!

My dear friend, Megan (hence the "M") came over to celebrate 4th of July with me and my dad which made for fun times with sparklers. Who would have thought trying to make letters with sparklers would have been so hard. I can't begin to tell you how many failed pictures we took before we got these one (mostly because of me). Still it was fun and made for lots of laughs.

P.S. Thanks dad for being our awesome photographer for the night!
