I can't help myself today. I know that summer has not even really started yet but I'm already wishing it was fall. I stumbled onto Haley today. Which is such a cute blog and she had posted about Autumn and my heart skipped a beat just thinking about those rich, vibrant red, orange, and yellow colors falling down onto the damp grass and streets and the feel of the somewhat chilly breeze brushing my hair all around my face. The thought of pulling out my cute light jackets along with my scarfs and hats made me smile. The idea of Halloween and kids trick or treating in their cute costumes (probably star trek this year) and pumpkin patches with cups of hot apple cider. Being able to have guitar hero home more and taking walks in the early evening as the kids in the street head in for a good nights rest before school in the morning. I am in such a good mood just day dreaming about what fall has to bring.

I am sorry for all you summer lovers out there.

I just had to express how I felt.

I know, I know

I have been doing a lot of kitchen post lately.

but the kitchen seems to be the hardest room

for me and guitar hero to agree on

and it's going to take the most work

so I have to make sure we get it right the first time.

Just for you.

I kind of got in big trouble from my last post by guitar hero.

He said it wasn't a very "Cheery" blog to wake up to.

actually his exact text reads...

"Ur blog not cheerlry!" (haha he was still kind of asleep)

Guitar Hero always wakes up to my blog in the morning/afternoon

kind of his way of feeling like he is still

with me when he is really gone.

So, just for him I posted another blog today....

Here is a way of taking something not so "cheery" and making it "cheery"

My eyes have been going bad for the past year

like to the point that I am squinting at everything

I am really scared to go to the doctor

(and I'm sure after my mom and dad read this I will have to)

but if I can get cool glasses like these pictures

I might be all for bad eyes.

I'm finally back after a 22 hour drive..

this past weekend I decided I could not go without guitar hero

so I packed my bags and left for Virginia Beach..

I was going to surprise guitar hero

and just show up without him knowing.

...but I guess I am not a good liar though

because he caught on to me.

O, well he was still happy to see me!

plus we got to spend time together on the beach before his show.

Sadly I didn't get a tan like I hoped

because it was windy and cold

but we did have a wonderful day just being together.

What I think.

I love guitar hero so much that sometimes I think our love will go down in history!

This is the life...

I just got back from Knoxville today. Had such a wonderful time... Guitar Hero had a show there and my Aunt got to come out to see him. Which was very cool. Plus little guitar hero (find him here and here) and his family took me and Guitar Hero to dinner before the show... yum, yum, was it good!


I will be leaving town again tomorrow so I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and do something very exciting! I look forward to getting back Monday and sharing more about the concert.

one room closer to being done..

We got the hallway painted last night. It had never bothered us before until we painted the living room then after that the hallway looked so ugly and boring that we couldn't stand looking at it anymore. So, last minute we went to home depot, picked out paint, and started painting. I was up till 10 last night doing the final touches. But I must say it makes Guitar Hero's award stand out much more now... which makes it well worth it!

Yep, he is a keeper!

• He he pays attention and remembers that I like coke in a bottle
• He brings me home unexpected gifts which makes me very happy
• He sings to me when I cry
• He still loves me when I have a Whitneyizm moment
• He is a hero (aka a guitar hero)
• He grew out a beard for me and then kept it
• He does whatever it takes to get home to me after his flight has been cancelled
• He takes me out on really nice dates
• He lets me paint and decorate the house anyway (well almost anyway) that I want
• He does so many sweet little things
• He takes me to the zoo and antique markets on his off day
• He makes sure that I am taken care of
• He always puts the toilet seat back down
• He puts up with my stubborn moments
• He will watch Christmas movies with me in the summer and never complains
• He never gives up on me
• He is also going to get me this kitten I have been begging for (hint, hint)
• He is so good to my family and friends
• He is the one reason I'm am the happiest I have EVER been in my whole life
• He is the one!!!!

Sherbet ice cream.

Guitar hero really loves me...

he let me eat the sherbet ice cream right out of the tub last night..

in fact he even got a spoon and joined me.

Then when I decided to stick my freezing, sticky tongue on him afterwards

he laughed instead of getting mad.

I am so glad to have him home again!

And thank you for all your help on the last post.

We still can't make up our minds on it but I think we are

getting closer to a decision.

Me and Guitar hero seem to agree on paint but not

My dearest Guitar hero,


I am writing you this letter(blog) because I know I can not send it you because by the time it would arrive you would already be at your next destination. But I have to send you my love some way. So, here it is... I wish so badly that you were here. That I would turn around and you would be there to hug, hold, and kiss me. That when I looked across the kitchen table I would be sharing a meal with you instead of by myself. That when I went to bed tonight you could be the one I was cuddling up to instead of my pillow and that when I heard your voice it would be through the other room and not the phone. But we both know that this job (guitar hero) comes with it's disadvantages like you being gone all the time so instead of being sad lets pretend we are together today.


Lets pretend that today you and I decided to run away. That we hit the open road and found ourselves sitting in a little diner sipping coke from a bottle and gazing into each other eyes. Then we would find a tree in the middle of a field where we could lay in the shade as you play your guitar and I hum a song made just for you and me. Lets pretend that its starts to rain and instead of running for the car to stay dry we play in it as if we are 5 years old again and you kiss me like it's the first kiss ever (you know the kind where you heart beats really, really fast and your body wants to burst with excitement like you can't control any part of yourself) Then after that you would brush my hair back as you take both hands and place them on my face to look into your eyes and whisper those three words I love to hear... I love you! Followed by night of star gazing and cuddling and not worrying about tomorrow. Yes, lets pretend that we aren't hundreds of miles from each other but instead we are hundreds miles away from everyone else.

An hour ago I thought my life had fallen apart.

I had gotten news that Guitar hero's plane had been cancelled

due to bad weather

and they were going to have to stay another night

and then fly out tomorrow to Ohio for there next concert.

My heart was crushed knowing I wasn't going to get to see him.

there might have even been a few tears after I got the news...

OK, OK a lot of tears.

But leave it to my man to find a way!

The other guys had just given up hope on coming home for the night..

but not guitar hero!

he was determined to make it home to me.

He was about to book a flight from Dallas, to NC, to Nashville just to get to me

but he found a flight from Dallas to Nashville

granted he wont arrive till 7 tonight

and that only leaves us 3 hours till he buses out again

but he is still coming home to be me with!

I know, I know, I am very lucky!

Could anyone ask for a better man!

Nothing makes me feel prettier....

Guitar Hero makes me smile even when he is gone!

I just got off the phone with him

and he started talking about a song he use to sing to me

when we first started hanging out

close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you

(It's a Beatles song in case you didn't know)

Anyways, I started smiling because it made me think

of the time we were on a Farris wheel

and he started to sing to stop me from crying.

Let me explain...

back when me and guitar hero first started hanging out

I would come to his shows to see him

(since we lived in two different states

and he was always on the road it was the only

way we got to spend time to with each other)

and at one of his shows we were at

they had a Farris wheel...

be begged and begged me to get on

but I was too scared.

I'm afraid of heights.

So, I told him if he went to Dollywood with me

over the Christmas holidays (remind you this is June I told him this)

I would

get on the Farris wheel with him there

(my way of letting him know I had plans to see him in the future)

Well, the holidays came

and by this time I was living in the same state

and we were seeing each other.

So, we went to Dollywood (like I do every year for the holidays)

and he reminded me of the promise about riding the

Farris wheel I had made back in June.

I could not believe it!

I never back down from a promise

so, there we were

on top of the Farris wheel

and me in tears.

He felt so awful for actually making

me go trough with my promise

that he started to sing to calm me down.

"close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you"

My heart sank

then he went on to sing to me

the song he co-wrote

Livin' our love song.

He took away all my fears in that little moment

and every time I look

at a Farris wheel I begin to smile

and play to tunes in my head.

I love you guitar hero

for making my life fear free and for loving me the way you.

So until you return home to me...

Look at those fangs!

I am packing up and heading to Nashville

in a few hours.

But I had such a great time spending the weekend

on my family's farm land...

He may look scary

but he is so sweet.

I can't get over how much he reminds me of a vampire

I keep telling my parents I'm going to steal him

but they don't believe me.

Wonderful News!

I had such a wonderful time

spending a few days with my family...

I did some shopping with my mom and Nana,

Then my dad and me had movie night like we use to back in the day

(he is a sucker for chick flicks..shh don't tell him I told you)

Then we celebrated

my Great Aunt and Uncles 50Th Anniversary

I must say their gift for each over was the coolest gift ever!

They bought an old jukebox and had all their songs put in it.

Now I will be heading back home to Nashville tomorrow.

Which I am super excited about

because I just got news that guitar hero

will be flying home Thursday

for a few hours to see me!!!!!!

Yay, because 13 days is just way to long to go without him.

175 pound blanket.

Yesterday, I left Nashville

to visit my family in GA

for my Great Uncle and Aunts 50Th Anniversary

and Mothers Day

which means..
sharing the bed with Ivy (aka the family dog)

She is a Great Dane

and weighs in at 175 pounds and is about 6'2 when standing on her back legs

She used to be my sleeping partner

when I lived with my parents.

Which is great during the winter months

because no matter how cold the night gets her body heat will keep you hot.

but then again in the summer her body heat is not such a plus

and then there is the fact that she is a bed hog

(as shown in the picture above.. I'm barely on the bed)

and she snores like an old man

VERY loud and VERY annoying!

but I love her and she is the sweetest most protective dog

in the world!

Guitar hero I know I have been asking for a puppy

but what I really want is a (2) Great Dane(s).

So he or she could keep me warm

and protect me when your gone!

Pretty, pretty, please :)

a lovely 48hrs...

So, guitar hero had a whole 48hrs

back home till he left again for tour

and he wanted to make sure

that the 48hrs was full of fun!

He didn't disappoint!!

We had such a lovely time touring our favorite city, Nashville

we went to the farmers market.

Where we enjoyed a light lunch and flower shopping

and I also learned that guitar hero has NEVER had a plum...

shocking I know!!!

Then we walked around downtown

and found a lovely park that we can't wait to visit again.

Followed by a beautiful dinner at the melting pot

and for anyone who has never been

I highly recommend it

and be sure to try the chocolate smores fondue

it is AMAZING!

(this coming from a girl who doesn't care much for sweets)

Overall, it was the most

wonderful 48hrs a girl could ask for.

I am so lucky.

I can't hug you on the phone, so hurry home!

I dropped Guitar Hero off at bus call last night

and I must say it was very hard to say goodbye.

It's always hard sending him off on the road

but last night was the worst

knowing he is going to be gone for 13 days straight!

We did however have a wonderful 48hrs together

from the time he got home

till the time he left

but I will share more about that tomorrow.

For now I just want to say

enjoy your evening and your time with loved ones!

It's finally starting to feel like a home...

YAY, we got one whole wall done.

We still have a lot to do to this room

He loves my guitar hero so much that he

has decided that's what he wants to be when he gets older.

he has had over 100 girlfriends and he is only 5...

He is packed and ready to hit the tour bus...

I am so excited for tomorrow!!

Guitar Hero comes home for a whole 48 hours

before he is on the road again!

and he has something very special planned for us.

I can't wait!

Plus this will be the first time he sees the painting I did.

keep your fingers crossed that he likes it.

I turned over reaching for you in the bed... and you weren't there.

It has been many days

since I have seen guitar hero

and sadly I still have a few more to go

and even then I only have one day with him before he leaves

for 12 more days.

...So, while he is away

I can't help but think of the things I so badly take

for granted when he is here.

such as..

Forehead Kisses - I love when he leans over to give me a kiss on the forehead. He does it with such tenderness, care, and affection that my toes begin to curl.

Cuddling - When we first go to bed and cuddle up to each other and I lay my head on his chest and listen to his heart beat. Then somewhere in the night we end up on our own sides of the bed but when morning comes he ALWAYS pulls me closer letting me know he wants me beside every time we start a new day.

Music - When he is home I get the pleasure of listening to him play his guitar and it's a sound I have gotten so use to hearing while I am on my computer or cooking dinner in the kitchen and it's just not the same putting in a c.d. anymore.

His gentleman traits - He is very much a gentleman thanks to his mother. He never lets me open my own door. Rather it be a car door, the house door, or a store door he always makes sure that he is there first so I never have to do this.

Hair playing - He knows this is my favorite thing and he always does this at the sweetest time. It usually when we are out at a show downtown, or a party, or just around a lot of people. He always puts his arm around me and plays with my hair making sure everyone knows that we are together and also his way of letting me know he is thinking about me even though he his talking to all his buddies.

Holding hands - When we are in the car he always reaches over and grabs my hand. It's nothing major but it still shows me that he wants to touch me and be around me and that's a good feeling.

I love yous - Sure I hear them on the phone when we hang up every night but there is something so much sweeter about it when he says it in person at random times. He doesn't have to say it at those random times but he wants to anyway because that's how he feels.

Kisses - they are pretty much the same as I love yous. He doesn't have to kiss all the time but he always does and I hope that never stops.

So, there you have it

those are a few of the things

I miss like crazy when he is gone...

but trust me there is so much more!!!
