because sometimes it needs to be all about him....

A. These pictures did not come out as good as I hoped.

B. Guitar Hero is not mad (even though it appears that way) he was just blinded by the flash. I still love it, he looks peaceful.

C. We (meaning he) had dinner at one of his favorite mexican restaurants last night. I am not a fan of mexican but because he means so much to me I let him take me there. Where he ate, and I talked... a lot! Mostly about all the fun and great questions we have been asked so far.

Why the neighbors are probably laughing at us, behind closed doors.

This is what it looks like now, when I try to carry Encore in the house. He is pretty good about coming in when we ask him to, expect when he knows we are about to leave. So, what you see above is what I look like carrying him in. I assure you I am not hurting him (if anything he is hurting me). It seems like only yesterday I was holding him here and here. I miss though's days but I sure do love him at this size, too.

Side note * I will posting the Q&A video Monday. You all have till Saturday to ask questions.

Guilty as charged!

Plain and Simple, I'm addicted! That's right, cake pops are my new favorite thing (and maybe even a bribe from Guitar Hero to get me out of the house faster so, we could make it a show on time, smart man) If you have not tried this, I highly recommend it. They have 3 types at Starbucks but the Birthday Cake is my favorite.

P.S. Guitar Hero was not driving while taking these pictures. We were safely sitting at a stop light.

P.P. S. If you had any questions for the Q&A video please respond to the post below. I am faltered to have so many questions asked this far. Was not expecting that.

BANGS!

Why is it, whenever I finally grow you out I begin to miss you and reconsider your return?
It's starting to become frustrating.

Readers, Lately quite a few of you have been requesting I do another Q&A video. If there is anything you would like to ask, leave it in the comment section below and I will consider doing another one. (Either way I promise to answer your questions, rather video or post)

Lovely, Sunday!

Today my hunky Guitar Hero came home and to top it off I finally got to try a cake pop. It was even better then I imagined and it might even be my new favorite dessert. Shh... don't tell cupcake.

Yes, it is a lovely sunday, indeed.

Happy Weekend!

Here is a little video I made of our spring adventures outside this week.
What beautiful weather we have been having.
Hope you enjoy it and hope it inspires you to get out and enjoy the weather, too (if you can)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Dear Guitar Hero, this video is for you and your love of spring!

Sun Rise.

Have you ever watched the sun rise? I can't remember the last time I had, up until yesterday that is. I forgot how peaceful it can be. Within though's few minutes of me and Guitar Hero sitting by the lake alone, while everyone was just getting up and heading to work, I felt so very thankful for the world around me. The beauty is indescribable as the sun started to peak up over the trees and turn the ocean ripples into yellow from pink. How the ducks would swim calmly across the water. It was as if for those few minutes the world stood still and Me and Guitar Hero had it all to ourselves. I wish every morning I could wake up to that feeling. In fact, me and Guitar Hero have made it our life goal... one day we shall own a little home, away from the hustle and bustle and sit on our porch together morning and night taking in mother nature.

Encore, what have you done now? {part 2}

Sneaky, Encore got out of the house the other day with one of daddy's shoes (yes, we are one of those couples that refer to each other as mom and dad to our pets, judge us if you want but they are our babies). Not to mention it was one of his best pair of shoes. Encore, takes after me with his expensive taste.

Thankfully, I got him to release it with a little bribing (thank goodness for treats) and the shoe made it safe and sound back in the closet where it belongs and before Guitar hero could ever notice.

Pretty in Pink.

Enjoy.

We love you warmer weather and sunny skies!

Yesterday, I got asked by a dear blogger friend, Cheyenne, on some date ideas. Other than your typical movie and dinner night at home (which we are guilty of more then I let on in this blog).

It's hard thinking outside of the box when it comes to date ideas but I do pride myself in trying. And today I would like to share some ideas with you of things we enjoy doing...

Picnic's - they are easy, can be cheap, and tons of fun! They are great for quite time together and enjoying beautiful mother nature.

Back road car rides- we love this one. Guitar Hero loves to drive and get lost (it's a guy thing, I think) we usually put on some oldies and talk about our dreams, and future. It's a great way to get him to talk ;)

Game night- or more like it's too rainy to do anything. This is one we started doing a lot, until I started losing all the time.

Nature walks- as you can see from the pictures above this is a great one for getting out and getting some pictures.

Building forts- We have not done this one in awhile but if your cooking dinner at home and are planning on doing another movie night this is a great way to make it a little different. Plus it makes you feel like kids again, which is always fun.

Bike rides- I don't have my bike yet :( but another great date idea

Going local- this is a broad term but for us this is music shows, movie in the park, fairs, local restaurants, and going to local farms (like the strawberry farm we are planning on going to next month).

There are so many great things to do together, sometimes it just takes a little imagination. Also ladies, I have learned that men don't sometimes think of these ideas because they think you are just happy with the movie at home (which is ok) but if you tell them that they are doing any of these things with you, I am sure they will be more then happy to go.

Happy dating!

P.S. If any of you have any date ideas, I would love to hear them. I am always looking for new things to do.

Welcome, Spring!

I heard somewhere, that today was spring! How exciting, even more exciting that Guitar Hero came home this afternoon, just in time to enjoy some of this beautiful weather we have been having.

We went for a lovely drive, WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN! We found the perfect spot to have picnic tomorrow, which I am thrilled about. And to top it all of we found some pretty blooming trees for a photo opportunity. Guitar Hero was nice enough to take some photos of me in my new dress (that I got for a steal, might I add). He is so patient with me, it must be hard taking pictures of someone who has vision of how they want their pictures to look in there head and to top of it off, who is a perfectionist when it comes to their photos... but we are learning to work together on this ;).

Happy Spring, and happy Sunday!!!

Encore, plays ball!

Pretty much like the title say's. Encore, got lots of playtime yesterday and I got lots of pictures. Maybe a little too many but I can't help but snap tons of my baby boy... he is just so good looking!

Just a bunch of silliness really...

Here we are Saturday morning before taking my Aunt to Loveless cafe for some famous biscuits. We wanted to show her one of our favorite bridges and prettiest views in Nashville (well, pretty when the trees are in full bloom) She was nice enough to take some pictures of Guitar hero and me. And Guitar Hero was nice enough to make all the pictures different (also known as goofing off) by the last picture you are probably wondering what I am doing. That would be me pulling forward scared for my life from falling backwards off a drop off. Guitar Hero thought is would be funny to pull me back right as my aunt snapped the photo. Even though in my head I know he would never put me in real danger you can not help but have your heart race in a moment like that.

Greatful.

This post is way past due:

But here are two pieces of art work that people have made for me and Guitar Hero.
The one on the left was made by a very talented girl. Who I have seem to lost her info and feel terrible about. If you are reading this please contact me so I can give you the credit you deserve.
The one of the left was made by my bother's beautiful girlfriend. And it meant so much to us that she took the time to do this. She even picked the colors of our house to use for the letters and right us room to add a picture (which is the first picture we ever took together) Thank you Laurie.

I am so grateful to have met such wonderful people through this blog and to receive such nice things, along with such nice comments and e-mails. Thinking back on when I first started this blog, I would have never pictured it going the way it did and feeling the way I do about it now. It has become my baby, my identity in ways. My blog is the topic of the family a lot of times, the things my friends brag about to other people (funny I know), along with history of me and Guitar Hero. I love looking back at old post and feeling things the way I did then all over again. But most of all I just love having my Guitar Hero and life to blog about and people I have met along the way becoming a little bit apart of our lives. Thank you so much for being here!

(sorry for the glare on both pictures, I don't know how to use the scanner lol)

The Opry {backstage}

Over the weekend my Aunt BB came to visit. We love having her in town, she is beyond fun and always so happy. I especially love having her in town this week because we got to take her backstage to the Grand Ole Opry Friday night to watch Guitar Hero play with Josh Turner.

And if that was not enough, Kenny Rogers was there to preform too. Which is one of her favorites. She almost had tears the whole time she was backstage. It was so great to be able to treat her to a wonderful night, it made my week. She has always done so much for me and even Guitar Hero. Overall, the night was wonderful and made great convo for the rest of the weekend ;)
