While standing in a kitchen..

A boy whisks a girl into his arms
they stand face to face
she whispers "do you love me?"
Without hesitation he says "yes"... just that easy
she asks "promise to never trade me in?" ..
"Promise to stay with me no matter how hard times can get"
Once again he replies "yes"
Then he ask "do you love me?"
"Yes" before he even finishes the sentence
"Promise to never trade me in... no matter how hard it gets"
"Of course" she answers with a wide smile.

... and just like that they made their vows.
Nobody to witness, no papers to sign, no one to give them their blessings.
Just one boy and one girl
giving each other the only thing they have
their trust.

Still blessed...

How was every one's Thanksgiving?
Sadly, I have no pictures, or family and friend stories to tell.
Living in Nashville no one really is from here.. so, in other words everyone went home for the holidays, Guitar hero had to work...
Did any of you happen to catch the lighting of the Macy's tree in Atlanta?
That was guitar hero playing with Josh Turner if you did.
I would have gone home to see my family.. or with guitar hero for the tree show
but I had to work the day after.

I am not going to complain though.
In fact I made a vow to myself...
I will NEVER spend Thanksgiving alone again or any holiday if I can help it.
But, the best part about it all...
is the fact that guitar hero felt so bad for me
(well, the best part wasn't him feeling bad... it the next part I'm referring to)
he is now going to take me to NYC next year to the Thanksgiving Day parade
with some of our friends.
Can you believe how lucky I am?
I had to pinch my myself just to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
I am so, very thankful for this wonderful world and for the god above for bringing me
my hero.

new moon.

I will proudly admit I am a "twi-hard”
With that being said though, I was highly disappointed in the first movie.
I thought it was poorly done and insult to the characters when it came to the dialogue.
That however, did not stop me from seeing new moon.
I wasn't sure what I would think of it
being that I'm for Team Edward and New Moon being more for those Team Jacob fans
but...
I LOVED IT!!!
In fact in was so well done that I almost second guessed my pick
for Team Edward...
Only, for a split second though.

Now I am so anxious to see the next one!!!!

Have y'all seen it yet?
What did you think?

P.S. Thank you Guitar Hero for taking me to see this and it makes me even happier that you actually kinda like the movie but I promise not to tell anyone... (whoops nvm : ) )

For our new readers... About us:

We live in Nashville,
met in a music video,
and are very happy!

Guitar hero
co-wrote the hit country song"Livin' Our love Song"
and is now Josh Turner's guitar player.
He is one of the best guitar players around
but works VERY hard to get that title.
He is a gentleman
and ALWAYS opens every door for me.

I am his princess
who does whatever it takes
to support his dreams and mine.
I am easy going
and love living in the moment.

Nashville is our playground
and music is basically our life
we might not live the "everyday life"
but it is still a "simple life".

Welcome to our blog
and hope you stay around awhile!

Honey, Let's play like the cool kids do... and build a fort.

I think me and guitar hero need to challenge our creativity and build a fort.

Love: Art studio spaces

I am dreaming of a room of my very own.
With a beautiful antiqued desk,
a type writer,
paintings, and old pictures hanging on walls,
beautiful fabrics draped to create cozy nooks,
quotes written in odd places to inspire me,
candles to create simple lighting,
and a record player to set a calming mood.
A room with all my favorite things
for me to live, create, and love!

but for now I will just look at these and dream..

Sometimes all it takes is a family time.

Guitar Hero took off this past weekend so that I could see my sister (isn't she beautiful)
and soon to be little Conner (my nephew)
It was so good to see her.
The hardest part about moving to Nashville has
definitely been leaving family behind.
but... I think I am finally starting to convince her on the idea of moving to Nashville.
(keep your fingers crossed)
So, with some time with the sis and some time behind the camera (which always makes me happy)
I am coming back to the blog world.
Thank you so much for letting me take a little break.

needs a break.

Hey, everyone.
I have decided to take a little break from my blog.
I am not sure how long I will be away... probably not more then a week
but, I just need some time to myself.
I feel a bit overwhelmed.
Something, about blogging as become not so fun.
As much as I love it
I need to step back for a bit.

At first I started a blog just so I could have something to do while Tim (guitar hero)
was away and also, for our parents to keep up with us.
But it became so much better then I ever imagined.
I have made some great friends and have been inspired by so many wonderful people.

Then somewhere along the way I feel like blogs have become a bit more
of a popularity contest.
and to me that's not what it's about.
So, I just need a few days to step back and enjoy my time.
Instead of thinking what to post next on my blog,
what will be cool to blog about,
what picture can we take to look good on the blog.
It's almost as if the blog has taken over our life.
which has just taken the fun away.

Anyways, I will be back!
That is a sure thing.
Just need a break that's all.
Hope you forgive me.

Wish List.

Who doesn't love this Breakfast at Tiffany's inspired art.
found here.
I will go ahead and take one of each please.
Also, be sure to check out the Mary Poppins one too.

p.s. Does anyone know where I can find some black and white striped mittens?

an Imax 3d experience

Have any of you had an Imax 3D experience?
Well, if you have not I advise you to do so!
Yesterday, evening guitar hero took me to see Disney's A Christmas Carol
In 3D at the Imax.
It was the first time either of us had been to see a movie in the form
and lets just say...
It's the only way to see a movie!
I felt as if I was flying in parts, catching snow in other parts, and simply as is if I was in the movie.
It was amazing!!!!!

We also, discovered that Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland will be
in 3D at the Imax.
Which we got a little preview of what it would look like.
WOW!
We have a very important date
to see that!!!!!

As, for the movie A Christmas Carol
I am not sure I would take younger kids to see it.
The ghost freaked me out a little, they were so creepy.
That is my own personal opinion... but, maybe it was just because it seemed so life like.

and what a wonderful weekend it was.

All I can say is I love this time of year.
Not only because of the lovely colors, and feel good weather...
but because guitar hero is home more then he is away.

This weekend I did lots of cooking
which included spicy chili, Cheesy potato soup, pasta salad, some yummy cake,
cinnamon pancakes, and cinnamon toast.. we love cinnamon!!!
It's been a busy week in the kitchen
but I don't mind.. I love cooking. As, long as I have someone to cook for.

We also, went on a nature walk (pictures to come)
and just spent time laying around together.
Overall, it was a WONDERFUL weekend.

What did you do this weekend?

P.S. everyone needs to go over to My Teacups in Peony
to see my guest post today
and to say hello to one of my fav bloggers Nicole!!!

Who say's that you can't put up two tiny christmas trees before Thankgiving? All the stores are doing it!

I could not help myself.
I am just too excited for Christmas.

I did promise myself that guitar hero and I
would not buy a big Christmas tree until after Thanksgiving though.

I usually put up a tree on Thanksgiving
but this will be the first year we have a real tree.
So, therefore we will probably have to wait till the day after Thanksgiving to get it.

This, will also be our first real Christmas living together.
which means there is lots to get ready for

Like..

deciding our ornament colors.
where to put the tree.
learning each others Christmas traditions
and also,
starting our own.

I have to say, building a life together is so much fun.
I can't wait to see how our future grows
and how we make our relationship
"OUR" relationship such as little things as starting our own holiday traditions.

and with that being said
I would love to know...

What your holiday traditions are?
any ideas on ornament colors?
What was it like having your first Christmas as a couple?

Still learning.

If any of you are in, or have ever been in a relationship
you will understand this.

When dating someone you have to learn to be us, or we
instead of me, and I.

We, (meaning Guitar hero and me)
still, to do this day struggle with this.
As much as we love, love, love giving to one another
we are both at the same time stubborn on the things He or I want.

Many of the things we have become stubborn over
has brought me to tears
him to frustration and silence
and many other "raw" moments.

But... that being said
we learn to work through it,
we learn to talk it out,
we learn to fix our problems,
and
even though
we are still working through it,
talking it out,
and trying to fix it,
which I am sure we will do all through our life's.

We are still doing it together

we are after all,
building a life

TOGETHER!

orange, yellows, and reds.... O, my!

I love fall.
There is just something about it
that takes me back to when me and Guitar hero starting getting close.

I moved to Nashville around this time last year.
So, some of our first dates took place in the fall.
Not, to mention are very spontaneous trip to Rock City one weekend!

I guess you could say Fall holds a close place in my heart
being that I started Falling for guitar hero in that time.

...

but even as much as I love fall I am very ready for Christmas!!!!

Cupcake anyone?

Over the holiday weekend I made some yummy cupcakes
that lasted O, about 2 days before they were all gone... yeah, they were that good!
No worries though, I have an extra box to bake this week ; )

Did you know..
That the first time I ever baked for a guy it was for guitar hero.
Not, only that but... I baked him cupcakes for his birthday.
We had only know each other about 2 months
when he had his birthday
and lets just say my gift won him over more than any other gift that year.

Ladies, If you want to know a way to a mans heart, it's simple..
Food... food you have cooked!!!!

When things were black and white

Halloween was huge success this year.
I loved playing Morticia
and Guitar Hero made such a great Gomez..
Don't you agree?
Although, I am very sad he had to shave his beard to pull off the look
I am just glad he is starting to grow it back already.
I love his beard so much that I almost cried when he was shaving it.

We also, had a good friend of ours Megan (check out her fabulous blog here)
come out with us as Wendy Addams.
She really tied our costume together!
Thanks for coming with us Megan!!!!
O, and if you didn't know Gomez is amazing guitar player!
with...

a very good shoe taste!

By the way we already have next years costume picked out!
and it is going to be the best one ever!!!
